The “Stand by me: Addressing Social Workers’ Vulnerability to Support Youth From Social Exclusion [SAVE]” project, funded by Fondazione Cariplo, was launched with a clear objective: to support and protect those who work alongside vulnerable young people on a daily basis.
Educators and coordinators play a crucial role in the protection and social inclusion of young people. However, they often find themselves working in complex contexts, characterised by job insecurity, a lack of appreciation and limited financial recognition.
This is why we have launched an online questionnaire: a vital research tool to map the actual working conditions within the profession, highlight critical issues and promote practical measures to improve the wellbeing of those working in education.
🎯 The aims of the research
Specifically, the survey aims to:
- Analyse the factors (individual, relational and organisational) that influence perceptions of educational work and the well-being of practitioners.
- Map the various profiles of well-being and quality of work, in order to identify which conditions promote a more sustainable and rewarding profession.
👥 Who can take part?
The research is aimed at adults (aged 18 and over) working in Lombardy within services for children and young people, including:
- Street-based youth work and Youth Drop-in Centres (CAG)
- School and home-based educational support services
- Family support programmes and Neutral Spaces
- Day centres, foster care and adoption services, and residential care services for children
| 💡 Note for participants: This invitation is addressed to educators and coordinators, as well as to all those professionals who — regardless of their title — primarily carry out an educational role or are employed as educators in the services mentioned above. |
⏱️ How does participation work?
- Method: Completing an online questionnaire.
- Duration: Approximately 15 minutes. (Ideally, the questionnaire should be completed in one go, from start to finish. However, if you need to stop, you can resume it at a later stage and retrieve your saved answers)
- Privacy: Participation is voluntary and completely anonymous. All data will be processed in accordance with current legislation (GDPR).
- Feedback: The results will be analysed in aggregate form and shared at a future public meeting, details of which will be announced on this website.
